Which eyelash extensions are best for the volumetric method, and which for the classic method, i.e. 1:1?
This question is still asked by many eyelash stylists. We divide eyelashes for extensions, based on the method and the material from which they are made. For the classic 1:1 method, eyelashes of thickness from 0.10mm to 0.20 are suggested, while for the volume method, eyelashes for extension should not be thicker than 0.1. For the Russian Volume method, the stylist can use a thickness of even 0.03, which gives the effect of fluffy styling.
Division of artificial eyelashes
We can also divide artificial eyelashes into categories in terms of:
- thickness
- length
- profile (twist)
- structure
- color
Eyelashes for extension are available on palettes and in jars, so called portioned eyelashes. Artificial eyelashes are divided into mink and silk, they differ from each other by the thickness of the tip. Please note that these are trade names of products. The eyelashes themselves are made of synthetic material, and the expression silk eyelashes, tells us that they are soft like silk.
Eyelashes for the 1:1 method
Cashmere lashes otherwise known as cashmere lashes are very delicate lashes. They resemble cashmere to the touch, they are extremely light and soft, thanks to their flattened structure and contoured base. The shape of the cashmere lashes perfectly adheres to the natural lash, making the application more permanent. Cashmere lashes are half the weight of silk lashes, so they don't overtax natural lashes. Artificial cashmere lashes, due to their unique structure, are suggested for the 1:1 method.

Eyelashes for volumetric method
For the volumetric method, Wonder Lashes has several lines of eyelashes for extensions. Golden Line lashes are mink lashes, they are delicate and soft with a thin tip. With Golden Line lashes, the fans do themselves, the styles are fluffy and soft. Volume Lashes line are silk-type artificial lashes, or silk lashes, with a more pronounced tip. The stylist can achieve a stronger effect on the eye like Russian Volume, or the Kim Kardashian effect. For those who want to shorten the treatment time, Wonder Lashes has created ready-made fans. This is the Premium Volume Fans line, as well as ready-made 10in1, 8in1 and 6in1 fans.
